I love making mandalas (in case that wasn’t clear yet 🙂 ) it’s a very relaxing, almost meditation like, process. Even after making them for some years now, I can still be surprised by the outcome, the shapes and interactions that happen once a simple piece becomes circular. I’ve learned to predict the outcome to a certain extend. But because I like making most of my mandalas with lots and lots of detail, I can’t always predict the whole outcome. And then the extra fun part starts, adding depth, color and choosing which details get that little bit extra oomph. I say choose, but in most cases the mandala ‘tells’ me how it wants to look. And even when I have certain colors in mind on beforehand… it doesn’t always happen.
Over the last few days I’ve started making my mandalas into party invitations. They can be used for many occasions, dinner parties would be great, but I’m also thinking birthday party invitations, special occasions and maybe even as wedding invitations, for out of the box kinda people.
I’m listing a few of the party invitations here, if you’d like to see them all, please click through to Party Invitations on Zazzle. The back of all the cards is similar to the front, but with more space for the party details. By clicking the image you go to the product page where you can change the event details. By clicking customize there you will be able to change all the text fully; change the layout the fit the text better, choose different fonts that fit your party needs etc. If it’s all a little too confusing or you can’t get your invite to look as perfect as you’d like, feel free to leave a comment here or contact me through my store.
